EICRs & Landlord Certificates
NAPIT registered EICR testing across Kent — electrical safety certificates for homeowners and landlords. BS7671 compliant, clear reports. Call 07825 333341.
An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is a thorough inspection of a property's fixed wiring, fuse board and accessories to confirm it's safe and compliant. Since 2020, private landlords in England must have a satisfactory EICR at least every five years — and we provide them for homeowners and landlords right across Kent.
What's included
- Full inspection and testing of the fixed installation to BS 7671
- Clear report with any faults coded C1, C2, C3 or FI
- Landlord-ready certificate for compliance with the 2020 regulations
- Remedial quotes for anything that fails — often fixed on the same visit
- Advice in plain English on what each finding actually means
How it works
Book a visit
Tell us the property size and age and we'll schedule the inspection at a time that suits.
Inspect & test
We test circuits, check the board and accessories, and record readings against the regulations.
Report & certify
You get a coded report and, where satisfactory, your certificate — usually same or next day.
Fix any issues
We quote clearly for any remedials and can carry them out, then re-issue as satisfactory.
“Gary was professional, polite, and fit us in earlier than I expected. He did a great job — would highly recommend and will definitely be using him again in the future.”
“Gary was so good and very clean and tidy — he got the job done at a really good price.”
EICRs & Landlord Certificates — common questions
How often do landlords need an EICR?
At least every five years, or at change of tenancy if the report recommends it. Homeowners are advised to test every ten years.
What do the EICR codes mean?
C1 means danger present (immediate action), C2 means potentially dangerous (remedial needed), C3 is improvement recommended, and FI means further investigation required. Only C1 and C2 cause a fail.
Can you fix problems found during the EICR?
Yes — as NAPIT registered electricians we quote for any remedial work and can often complete minor fixes on the same visit, then issue a satisfactory report.
