Emergency Electrician across Kent
We offer a 24-hour call-out for genuine electrical emergencies across Kent — one of our Google reviews is from a customer who rang at 4am with water dripping onto his sockets and had Gary there by 5am. What we won't do is quote a blanket response time: we work from Sittingbourne, so how fast we reach you depends on where you are. Call, describe what's happened, and we'll tell you honestly when we can be with you and what to do in the meantime.
What's included
- Total power loss and circuits that won't reset
- RCDs tripping repeatedly or immediately on reset
- Burning smells, scorching or heat at a socket, switch or board
- Water ingress affecting an installation
- Damaged or exposed cabling made safe
- The installation left safe and tested before we leave
How it works
Call and describe it
Tell us what happened and what you can see — we'll tell you if it's safe to wait.
Make safe
First priority is isolating the danger, not finishing the repair.
Diagnose properly
We trace the actual cause with test equipment rather than resetting and hoping.
Repair and test
The fault is fixed, the circuit re-tested, and you're told what caused it.
“Called Gary at 4am he was at my house for 5am and stopped the leak from doing any further damage and arranged for the repair to be carried out by a plumber. Had him back a few weeks later to find the problem with a socket in my garage that kept tripping. He rewired it all for me and now it works perfect.”
“I phoned him on a Saturday morning. He said could he pop round later and give us a quote. He checked everything and said the job was quite straightforward. The price was very reasonable and Gary said he could fit them there and then. Gary is very knowledgeable, he explained everything and carried out the work cleanly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gary.”
“I had a problem with my lights, I had no lights in the house at all. Gary came over to the house and got all the electricity sorted for us in under an hour, so I have no problem recommending him and his company for any electrical issues. He was clean and tidy, good value, friendly and fast.”
“Gary has completed work for me a number of times, including fitting a new kitchen light, repairing a broken plug socket, fitting Hive, fitting alarm/security system and changing light switches to dimmer switches. He always completes work to a high standard.”
Emergency Electrician — common questions
Are you a 24-hour emergency electrician?
Yes — we offer a 24-hour call-out for genuine emergencies, and we do turn out at night where it's warranted. We're a small Sittingbourne-based team rather than a national call-centre, which we'd argue is the better end of the deal: you speak to Gary, not a dispatcher. Call 07825 333341, tell us what's happened, and you'll get a straight answer on when we can be there.
What should I do while I wait?
If you can smell burning or see scorching, switch off at the main switch and don't reset anything. If a single circuit has tripped and won't reset, leave it off and unplug everything on it — that alone often identifies a faulty appliance. If there's water anywhere near the board or a socket, isolate and stay clear. Tell us what you've found when you call.
Is it an emergency or can it wait?
Treat burning smells, scorch marks, heat at a socket or board, exposed live cable, and water near electrics as urgent — isolate and call. A single dead socket, one light out or a circuit that resets and holds is usually not an emergency and can be booked normally, which will cost you less.
Which areas do you reach quickest?
Sittingbourne, Faversham, Gillingham and Chatham are our closest areas — typically 15 to 20 minutes. Maidstone and Canterbury are 25 to 30. Ashford is around 35 and Dartford around 45. We cover all of them round the clock, but for a genuinely time-critical fault at the far end of that range we'll say so rather than let you wait on our travel time.
