Commercial & Industrial Electrical across Kent

Downtime costs money, so commercial electrical work is judged on two things: whether it is right, and whether it disrupted trading. We cover shops, offices, lettings, warehousing and light industrial units across Kent and South East London — from a single distribution board change to planned maintenance across a portfolio — and we can work evenings or weekends where a shutdown during trading hours isn't practical.

What's included

  • Fixed wire testing (EICR) on a planned cycle, with a clear remedial schedule
  • Distribution board replacement, sub-mains and three-phase supplies
  • Motor, starter and isolator replacement on production equipment
  • Emergency lighting installation, testing and certification
  • Shop, office and unit fit-outs — power, data containment and lighting
  • Out-of-hours and weekend working to avoid disrupting trade

Called Gary at 4am he was at my house for 5am and stopped the leak from doing any further damage and arranged for the repair to be carried out by a plumber. Had him back a few weeks later to find the problem with a socket in my garage that kept tripping. He rewired it all for me and now it works perfect.

I phoned him on a Saturday morning. He said could he pop round later and give us a quote. He checked everything and said the job was quite straightforward. The price was very reasonable and Gary said he could fit them there and then. Gary is very knowledgeable, he explained everything and carried out the work cleanly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gary.

I had a problem with my lights, I had no lights in the house at all. Gary came over to the house and got all the electricity sorted for us in under an hour, so I have no problem recommending him and his company for any electrical issues. He was clean and tidy, good value, friendly and fast.

Gary has completed work for me a number of times, including fitting a new kitchen light, repairing a broken plug socket, fitting Hive, fitting alarm/security system and changing light switches to dimmer switches. He always completes work to a high standard.

Commercial & Industrial Electrical — common questions

Do you work outside business hours?

Yes. For shops, offices and units where a daytime shutdown isn't practical, we schedule evening or weekend working and price it up front. It's the normal way we handle board changes and fixed wire testing on trading premises.

How often does a commercial property need fixed wire testing?

It depends on the type of premises. Offices and shops are typically every five years, industrial premises every three, and some higher-risk environments annually. Your insurer or licence conditions may set a shorter interval — we'll confirm the right cycle for your building at the first visit.

Can you do three-phase work?

Yes. Three-phase supplies, sub-main distribution, motor and starter replacement and industrial isolation are all within our scope — a good share of our Dartford and Medway work is exactly this.

Do you take on planned maintenance contracts?

We do. For landlords and businesses with several properties we can run testing and maintenance on a rolling schedule so nothing lapses, and keep the certification in one place. Call 07825 333341 and we'll talk through what your portfolio needs.
