Do you work as a subcontractor to shopfitters and main contractors?
Yes — a good share of our commercial work comes that way. We price from your drawings and programme, work to your site rules and attend progress meetings where they're called, and we provide risk assessments and method statements for the works before we start on site where your site rules require them. If you need us to fit around other trades or work nights to hold a date, say so at tender stage and it gets priced in rather than argued about later.
Can you work nights or weekends in a trading centre?
Yes, and for shopping-centre and high-street units it's often the only practical option. Centre management usually sets the working window and the access rules, and we price evening or weekend working up front against those. It costs more per hour and less overall than losing trading days.
How quickly can certification be issued after the work is done?
Normally within a couple of working days of the final test, and faster if a hand-over or opening date depends on it. Tell us the date you need the certificates by and we'll work the testing back from it. Nothing holds up a hand-over more predictably than paperwork left to the end.
Will you price a fit-out from drawings?
Yes. Send the layout, the ceiling and lighting drawings if you have them, and the programme, and we'll come back with an itemised price. For anything beyond a small unit we'd rather also walk the site before starting, because the existing supply, the incoming position and what the landlord will allow are the three things that most often move the figure.
